my ole 954 did the same thing i quit filling it all the way up.. never had another issue

 

It might be a weak battery.

 

sounds like a breather to me also, if a fuel tank cant vent it can cause all types of problems like hard starts, rough stumbling during acceleration etc.. its like sucking on a straw with your finger over the end, the pump cant prime the fuel system if air cant get into the tank, or mabey if your filling the tank all the way to the tippy top and then closing the fuel cap it might be causing a "vapor lock" try not filling it to the top like others said.

 

Has this been fixed.
