ecm problem, weird one.!
ok, so i got a 98 rr. currenty using the ecm of the 96 rr, when i plug the ecm of the 98 the bike won't start, i have 2 98 ecm's, and i know their both good, but it won't start we neither of em. but when i pl;ug the 96 one it works fine. what sensor is bad? or what could it be?
The 98-99 has a throttle position sensor, I wonder if that has something to do with your problem. I would check to see if it was unplugged for the 96 ECU, Worth a try. It is located on the carbs throttle shaft
it does crank but doesn't start. everything is plugged in, just one day it didin't start so i plugged the 96 ecu and worked. after that i've been only using the 96 ecm. would it run better with the 99 ecu? or should i just give up and keep running the 96ecu?
