Default Suggestions please

So I replaced my OEM CCTL with a ape manual CCTL and I tighten it just enough so it wouldn't be over tighten. But there still some slight rattle present that annoys me and I don't wanna keep tighting it and over tighten it...any suggestions?? So I just tighten it some more untill that rattle completely disaeaperes??

i know it's a PITA, i would only tighten in increments - say 1/8 turns. and do test rides in between. if you have an option of being too tight or too loose, you want to be too loose. too tight will start to really wear your cam chain guides - which you don't want.

Yea that's what I've been doing but I think I've screwed it in pretty far in and that rattle is still there, kinda nervouse that the cam chain guides or something in there is messed up and it wasn't the CCTL all this time

well i would suggest buying an automotive stethoscope and pinpointing where the rattling is coming from.

Hard to explain over a forum. Does the rattle change from a looser cct to a tighter one?

Hondas are known for a bit of cc noise, there is no getting around that. But if this is more than a bit, than something may not be right.

The rattle is deff coming from the CCTL only thing is that I don't want to over tighten it to make the rattle disappear and end up messing up my guides...this weekend when I have time ill tighten it a bit more to see what happens....how do I know if it is over tighten? Would my bike run different or hear a noise?....sorry for all the questions I just don't want to mess up my guides
