Default Bad luck!

So me and my buddy pulled off the cracked stator cover on my bike, the crack on the stator cover ran down to the left of the actual stator on the engine.

We expect it a bit more and there was a crack running down the actual stator casing towards the left. I don't get how it cracked towards the left when the crack was towards the right on the actual cover... puzzled me, and pissed me off beyond believe the crack is small but we applied JB weld to it. Looks like things just got a lot worse. I'm not sure if it was leaking through the crack to begin with but we JB welded it regardless.

I don't see how the crack ran up the actual engine case on the left hand side if this crack is on cover is on the right? any insight thanks.

it just happens. it's actually a fairly common place that these motors crack when people go down on that side. a guy i sold my bottom case to had the same thing happen to him.... any pics of the crack on the case?

What can I do to fix this? Can it be welded? the JB weld doesn't seem to be holding right now because it's so cold out. Man I'm pissed off.

Would the engine need to be pulled in order to TIG weld? How much are you looking at price wise.

It looks similar to this. Only mine is deeper.
