RE: Starting in gear
I thought about that as well, but I'm not sure. If it was hosed then why will it let me start the bike at all?
I don't this that is it at all. The bike will start with the stand up, but it has to be in neutral and the clutch in.

My $.02 --> clutch switch is f'd. Fixable if you're willing to throw the cash at something that isn't necessary.
My 954 will start with no clutch in nuetral... so that's why I'm thinking that.

My argument for my idea is that I can start my bike in nuetral with the clutch lever out. My bike does require that the clutch be in to start if the bike is in gear.
