If your using aftermarket cams the head porting is a must do thing. The porting alone has gain 12 hp to rear wheel in this bike whit oem cams:

Couldn't attach it here. The professional that ported/ports my head said the oem heads flow is dead( stops increasing) at 8.3 mm of lift so my grinded cams would probably be worth 4-5 hp whitout the porting. Even the oem intake cam have 8.7 mm valve lift so you won't get everything out of it whit oem head. Only thing whit the porting is that it will probably move the peak hp rpm range up and even 954:s whit full exhaust will make peak hp very close to limiter.
