f3 vacume port help.??
hello to all
i have a 97 cbr600 f3 i notice that when i took the carbs out to clean the engine i only have 3 vacume port sticking out cap off when looking at it the left side one has nothing sticking out only the other 3 do don't u need 4 vacume ports to sync the carbs???? can it be broken off?? if so maybe thats why my idle is normal when engine is at normal temp stuck in traffic
it goes from 1200 to 3000 like a vacume leak.?? thanks

Yes, u need four ports to sync the carbs. The carb sync kit I have has four metal tubes that you can just screw into (instead of) the ports. I also dont have the first port. Just a whole. U can screw a bolt into this hole what I did. So I am not sure if anything should go out from that port. But its not what causes RMPs go higher.
As far as your leak is concerned just check all the air/fuel hoses. Make sure they are in proper order and clean from debris. And as it usually said...cleaning the carbs wont hurt. You can also sync the carbs and do other regular maintenance/adjustments.
