Default USB Port on bike help.

Hey guys, I followed the tutorial on the how to section on how to put a USB slot on your bike. I've made the rig and bought all the components like it says in the tutorial but I just cant get the usb slot to charge up my bike. If anyone has Any idea I would appriciate it. Btw the only thing I changed from the tutorial was not splicing a wire and going direct from battery and also making the wires from the USB port longer to reach from the batt to the gauges. If anyone knows any info please enlighten me, Thanks. Tom.

get a multi meter and check the connections/wires you have running to the USB slot to make sure they're getting power. or try it with something besides your phone to see if it is getting power to other things.
hope i helped a little bit, im not a bike doctor though
