I installed a power Commander this weekend, which was pre- mapped by the company I bought it from. When I was done, a friend of mine asked me if the brown wire under the seat was disconnected. When I bought the bike, it already had a yosh half system on it. He told me that when you put an aftermarket pipe on it, you are supposed to disconnect a wire because of the fuel/air readings. He also asked if my FI light was ever on. I told him no. Anyway, he was saying that if that wire was not disconnected, my bike may bog down while riding and it might scare the **** out of me. He said he learned the hard way. He has a gixxer 1000, so maybe its different on those bikes. Does this sound half correct? I dont want to learn the hard way.

 

never heard of it........ but to me sounds like a bunch of crap, but a custom tune is the way to go

 

Custom tune is my next event. Just have to find a place in Augusta that does it. The PCIII box showed a place but i called it and it was some other ****. I hope i can find a place. I can hang with the GSXR 1000, but I want them to eat my dust. Suzuki riders dont have much respect for the 954 because of the numbers.
