Oil Filter
You guys buy the Honda OEM oil filter? Or do you get a FRAM, etc that fits the threads/size of the OEM filter? I found a FRAM that's about a third of the price of the Honda filter, but is there any difference in the size of the mesh filters within that filters the oil better between the two???
I used to run the Fram but have heard bad things about them. I have since switched to a purolator ML16817. You can find these at pepboys for around $5. Im not sure what you are running for oil, but after a lot of reading and research I switched to Shell Rotella 5w40 synthetic. $14 a gallon at walmart. It amazed me how much smoother the engine runs with this oil. Matt
A company called "Hi-Flo" makes the factory Honda filters. Hi-flo also has their own filters, made to the same honda specs without the honda name... alot cheaper for the same product.

yeah i change my oil/filter sometimes twice a month. I change it every time i come back from the race track. So at less then $5 a filter i save some $$ compared to the $15 filter from the dealership. And it holds up just fine for me.
yeah that is NOT the right filter. here is the link for the fram website :
