Numbness in fingers after long ride

Check your chains aren't too loose or too tight causing excessive vibration or to change the nature of the vibration.
Check if you have OEM end weights on the bars. Aftermarket Alloy ones are much lighter than OEM.
Vibration of the mirrors or handlebars, footpegs etc. is usually fixed by changing the weight balance of an object by adding weight to it. This is why heavy weights are hung off the end of handlebars. If the chain adjustment doesn't work try a heavier end weight.

Hm... Didn´t even come to think of it, that the chains might affect this. Mine are kaputt so to speak, and need to be replaced ASAP next spring. Now that I started thinking things, it might be that I too am a "squeezer". Already have gel grips, And am going on a little longer trip today. Maybe I should try a looser grip too. Some previous einstein that have owned my bike have applied silicone or something else water repellant to my seat too so it´s super slippery and I keep sliding towads the tank. Guess what gets a liittle squeezed too...

I´m back from my trip and tested several things during it. I`ve done about 145 miles (230km) and the first thing that I noticed was that I do squeeze the bars quite a bit. I also noticed that when I wrap my fingers around the bar, my glove crimps up underneath my knuckles, where the fingers start, thus restricting blood flow to them. I tried not to squeeze the bars at all and let my fingers hang loose, only gripping the bar when I have to move the throttle. I also noticed that i crouch above the tank so all of my upper body weight rest on my wrists. I tried to squeeze the tank a bit more with my legs and stay at a more upright position letting the wind take some of the bodyweight, and it actually works! some, that is... My right hand thumb and pinky still gets numb, but way less than before, only stopped once on a bus stop to waggle my wrists on the way there, and once back home. I guess more practice and a new, lighter helmet will do the trick for me.
Propably was the last trip for me this year as my chain is so beaten up I fear it could snap, and it`s starting to get a bit chilly up here so I think it`s best to let the bike to hibernate till next spring... Will definetely stay here though, yammering crap at your nuisance
EDIT: A little off-topic, but Just remembered: Came Dang near to a wipeout too... The night was starting to settle and the temp was dropping, I was almost back home when I was approaching the last lake before my home town. The road drops a bit there next to the shoreline so my visor got all foggy there. I lifted my left hand from the bar to wipe the visor. The very second I got it back to the handle A bird took flight from the bed of reeds right next to the road. I spooked and ducked to the right side of the bike, at the same time accidentally yanking the bars to the left, almost tipping the bike over at 50mph. No chance to brake, the bird flew so near my helmet that I couldn`t even recognise what it was, but I´m pretty sure it was a female...
