Or you could duct tape it to the back of your jacket.

I wonder how that would go over, i actually kinda like that idea a little bit, plus its extra armor

I cant quite tell where you have yours located, but if you have it mounted on the swingarm mounted right side up (not sideways) it is legal DOMESTICALLY. See harley's 'Sportster Nightster' to see what I'm talking about. Some officer's may still pull you over, but according to regulations, it is legal, so you could argue it in court, but that's a hassle.

I have an underbody kit also. I have mine mounted towards the front of the rear wheel well under the fender. I haven't gotten pulled over (knock on wood) and it is visible from the back.

I run with mine on my swingarm and I have been pulled over twice for speeding (someone called in) and both times the cops never said anything and one cop actually turned his head sideways to read my plate and still said nothing.

Just go to the vehicle code and look it up. If your in California it is the 5200 section. (google search the vehicle code for your state and go from there)

Don't mount the plate under the battery tray. I didn't want to drill on the Hotbodies undertail, so I drilled under the battery and bent the plate. I just got a ticket this weekend for improper license plate mounting, no license plate light, no rear red reflector and the list goes on and on. The cop said he only pulled me over because he hada hard time seeing my plate.Since he had me pulled over he gave me a ticket for all mods done to the bike.
