HI, i was wondering if anyone can give me any pointers on these new turn signals that i've installed they just wont flash just stay lit up, but when i touch the + wire with - wire for a split second and seperate them they start flashing and by turning the ignition key off and then back on comes the same problem(wont flash) and also when i put on the test light to +wire on turn signal and test light hooked up with - side of battery they start flashing. am little confused service manuall does not help. plz advise and thanx in advance.

You need to change the turn signal flasher relay when you install LED lights. The load on the relay is not enough to make it flash with LED turn signals.

If it's a 954 you can't just change the relay. It's integrated into the instrument cluster. You have to splice the new relay into the wiring harness. The blinkers won't flash at all anyways so that's the first problem. Front blinkers? Back blinkers? LED or incandescent bulbs?

thanx for the input guys, i kno that the resistor is in inside combination meter so i cannot just change it, so if go splicing up the wires and add an after market relay which wires should i splice?

 

This is why it is the best site ever, i went to the part store got me a 2pin flasher and spliced w/g and grey wire going to the combination meter and while i was at it also slaped in a fuse on lead side working just fine now.......... thanx guys.
