Head light No working!
Last night I got pulled over. Got out of work and found that my headlights weren't working. Switched to High beams thinking that it was my Bulb but it wasn't. Neither "high" or "low" were operating. So I ride home and I'm trailing this car to sorta mask that I don't have any lights and using their lights to see where I'm going! But damn car turns off its lights to do some twistys on this one street and at the end a cop was waiting! So of coarse I get yank over too! Cop was cool, I tried to explain my situation, but he still wrote me up a "fix it" ticket. The next day i start to D&A my bike. Fuses were all good. If i bypass headlight relay the lights went on. So the power to activate the relay wasn't reaching the relay. Started tracing the wiring diagram and found that there was one place that both "high" and "low" beams merge for a common power source. The RHS switch assembly. You know how when you hit your starter button your lights turn off until you release the button. Well vibration has broken the solder connection of the headlight power wire in there! So i had my extended warranty take care of the bill. Just posting this as a testimonial and maybe help someone out who is having, or have had a similar problem

RE: Head light No working!
ya i searched forums and came up with the same conclusion...mine did it last fall and i didnt have time to take things apart so i just have a small toggle under seat to turn lights on....and ive left it like that! lol
i might fix it pretty soon tho as i have no highbeams.
