96 F3 Speedo, tach, low beam head light not working
Well to start I was riding one day and my 96 f3 quit and my battery started smoking....After reading many of these helpful forums I done some test to realize my rectifier was fried, and replace it with a 03-04 gsxr 1000 rectifier which is great but during the test when i didn't have the new rectifier on yet I done a oops and fried the CDI box...
I got a used cdi box and put it on and it started right up...But now my speedometer, tach, low beam head light and a rear tail light is not working...HMMM... but the bike is running fine...
....Would the CDI box have any affect on these? I don't no what the cdi box controls...I checked the fuse and it was fine but I'm going to check it again...
Any input would be helpful.....And thanks for all the helpful forums about the rectifers...

If I may, please allow me to imbibe us with a stupid question:
You did check your fuses, right?
If you fried the CDI (called the ICM on that bike, I believe), then you probably toasted all your fuses, too. Beyond that, you may have a bum ICM. Check the wiring diagram in the service manual to see what the ICM controls.
