Your temp's seem about the same as my 954. I changed my coolant with Honda coolant last fall and my bike runs at 177-182 when moving and gets up to around 205-215 when sitting.

Yep, 210 is normal when sitting in traffic. I would start to be concerned if the temp goes up to 225/230 or your fan doesn't kick on at 220.
It's good you changed the coolant, though, if it needed it.

Default engine ice

yeah im glad to hear im in the right heat range but i hear every =body giving great reviews about this stuff i expected better results -i flushed the system untill water came out clear before adding new coolant...thanks mike[since the normal operating temp is 180 my bike should run at about 160 if not less since they claim that this stuff drops operating temp by up to 50 degrees]

Been reading the F4i Owner's Manual (prepping for F4i ownership). You can download it from http://www.stephygee.com. Overheat temp is 251F / 122C. That's when the temp on the gauges will start flashing and the MIL will light.

As far as I know, water is the best for actual cooling of the engine. the other stuff is in there to lowerer the freeze point and raise the boiling point, but it also reduces the heat transfer properties of water.

I trust no mechanic in a can. For example if you buy a can of octane booster such as 103+, if you really read the fine print, it only adds like .1 of an octane rating.
