i.m.o unless you can ride like rossi you wont know the difference.
yes the kwaker and other litre bikes will be faster in a straight line but you'll quickly get bored just drag racing its all about the twiisties, well at least it is for me and i'm sure a lot of guys on here and a well set up 954 will be more than capable of keeping up with other bikes and very comfortable over long miles considering its a sportsbike not a tourer
go with whatever bike makes ya grin more good luck with whatever you get

+1 ....all great bikes...find the one you would love & not neglect. End of day...900rr, 1000rr...it's the marksman, not the bow & arrow (streets or track)

For the money I'd say the 954RR is hard to beat, but I definitely prefer the Honda way of doing things and am partial to CBRs at this point. So, I'd say to consider the Honda you like the most...if the total package appeals to you of course. Best wishes!

Ditto....Honda is awesome. They are soooo bullet proof. I will say that I have bounced back and forth between a 954 & the newer 1000RR (08' - newer). The more I thought about it will become a streetfighter, eventually. And the lightness of the 954. I have finally decided with the 954 too. Yeah, it is nearly 10 years old, but they are what most CBR fanatics would call the last true sportbike (besides the RC51) that Honda has produced for the rest of us. Of course, the the new V4 will be out next year, which will be awesome, but much more expensive than the CBR1kRR.

Everything points to whatever Baba has been involved with and the 954RR was his baby too.

Just my .02.

Now, if this deal is near Ohio, let me know and I will jump on it, if you don't. That is an awesome price for the mileage. I can't find one under 15k miles for about that price or more.

Crap Crap Crap. ****k me! I just checked this thread after a while
I bought the 954 and then also bought a zx10r the next week thinking it was a mistake to buy the 954 and that i would sell the 954 but now i think i am going to be selling the 10r! and keeping the 954 or maybe i should keep both for a while. Thanks for all the responses. Once again after a while, I am loving the 954, it takes really sharp turns compare to that 10r and the bottom end on that 954 is just .........................crazy
