Default Cold Weather Storage

I am looking for some tips or advice on how to store the bike for the winter months. I have a storage shed for it but it isn't heated, does this matter? Any advice is appreciated.

^ what NY said, although i dont use stabalizer, i just fill it up before i store it. Take out the batter and keep on a tender someplace warm. Most important, once its parked leave it alone. Dont go out and start it until spring when your ready to ride it.

Where you say just leave it and don't start it until it's spring and you're ready to ride...... why is that?

Our bikes dont run well in the cold to begin with, you will have a good chance at fouling plugs if its really cold. The main reason though is condensation. It will build up in the engine and trans if you just run it for a few min and shut it off. So unless you take it out for a bit of a ride to burn it up, move all the fluids around you can end up with extra water lying around. Well water can freeze for 1, rust for 2. Of course there are other factors like cold heavy oil, and how poorly it flows when its really cold out etc.

My best advise is to lift the bike, if possible. Flat spotting of the tires is something to think about-depending how cold it
gets in Your area.

Sorry, about the late response- I've been unable to log-in for some reason.

I have stands so I am not really worried about the tires, also because the tireswill most likely be replaced by the time spring rolls around. As for the battery I am gonna take it out and keep it inside on the tender.
