Hello everyone,
Just bought this as a non runner. Been sitting a few years. Replaced the fuel pump with a cheap aftermarket unit from ebay. Started the bike and all seemed ok although I did not ride it.. I installed a new battery the next day and the motor seemed to hyperlock. Engine would not turn over. Could an injector be stuck? Fuel dripping out of the exhaust. Is there a way to check the injectors? Is there an aftermarket injector or is it best to go with stock?

Either an injector is stuck or there's a short keeping it open. The former is most likely. You can check them using an injector cleaner adaptor, a can of cleaner and not supplying power - if cleaner flows through without power, the injector is stuck open, it it does, the injector works (and you cleaned it!)

 

If injector’s dripping when everything’s off, might be clogged and stuck open. Remove all injectors and test for leaks, then measure flow-rate.

None of injector cleaners work properly because they don't back-flush injectors in reverse. I think only one I've seen that's proper flow-direction is Toyota's kit.
