Bought myself a 954 (project)
I got the head back. I'm just working on the valve clearances. I have to change every shim. Luckily only one shim is unreadable.
I cleaned the buckets and recorded the shim sizes. Installed the cams and measured the clearances. The math is simple:
The recorded shim size plus the measured gap minus the desired gap equals the new shim sizes. I never installed the chain, I just left all 4 Pistons down. I'm done and happy with the results. Tonight I'll install the chain and guides etc. I'm hoping to put the engine in this weekend!

Well, I'm happy to report my engine repair has been successful. Tonight I pushed the start button and the 954 jumped into action. It was very rewarding! Matt was there to witness it too
We have now have a bike each to ride!

Thank you sir, I've really appreciated your support throughout this build. I had a 5 km trip running through all the gears getting her up to 4K maybe 5 at times. Top speed 120ish. Feels a lot different than the 600 F3. It's running good.
