The reason I ask is that I've been wanting a gel seat for a while now, but everywhere I've found one they only have ones for the CBR 600 and CBR 1000. They look similar to the 929 seat, but will they interchange?

 

Don't know about the 1000RR, but my 600RR and 954RR seats won't interchange, and of course the 954 and 929 will.

Why don't you remove the cover from your seat and add foam and/or gel... that's what I did and it worked great.

corbin.com makes GREAT seats. just a little pricey though ($260 shipped) but WELL worth it.

 

I would be willing to sell you a Sargent seat for your bike, and im only 45 minutes away. I would be happy to meet ya or maybe even deliver it, its nice out for the next couple days. I would do $200 delivered. Its the seats that are on this bike.

We have a textiles/craft shop here in town that had gel. There are kits on ebay for $75... search gel seat pad. You could also try disecting a gel bicycle seat.
