I think my bike will start with the stand down....i am guessing the neutral safety switch is no good....its what stop a car from starting unless the clutch is depressed...

it starts in neutral with the stand down just not in gear stand up or stand down clutch in or out. I don't know what happened.

It should have to be in neutral with the kick stand up or down. If its in gear and the kickstand down it won't start. Its a saftey thing so you don't take off with your stand down.

there should be a safety switch on the kick stand. If that isn't bad then it's your neutral safety switch. Neither should be too expensive. but neither are needed for operation. If it isn't a much then just kick it in neutral to start it.

When you say "it starts in neutral with the stand down just not in gear stand up or stand down clutch in or out", it's telling me the neutral switch is probably working right. Sounds like the clutch switch or the stand switch. This should be an easy one, you just need an ohm meter or a continuity test light.

I just cut the kill switch on the kickstand and it still does it. I think it's the safety neutral switch No big deal I'll just put it in neutral when it doesn't start in gear. Thanks guys
