Possible that an injector is sticking open. Take the injectors out but leave them connected to the wire harness. Turn the key to on so that the fuel pump primes. If any of the injectors are stuck open they will squirt fuel at this point. If this does happen, replace the injector. If it doesn't you are not out any money. Always diagnose the easy things first. Also, make sure there is spark to all cylinders and that the plugs look good.
hello, i tested the fuel injector thay were good ,plugs were a little wet in number 3and4 cyclinder so i put a new set of plugs in geting good spark but still runs like crap,,anything else you can think of ,,what about fuel regulater????any way to test that..anyone thanks for your time...jesse
If the injector are good start to look toward the sensors. I am not totally familiar with the fuel system on the 929, however, it should have some kind of MAP sensor to tell the computer the pressure in the manifold. If that sensor fails, it will default to complete rich and make the bike run crappy.
also, a fuel pressure regulator should only make the bike run rich fuel system is a return system (im not sure of it is). Try to research a way to test the MAP sensor because it is a 150 dollar sensor. Also, is you FI light on?
thanks for the help i fount the problem ,,a wire that goes to the power comander that runs the number one fuel injector was rubed throught from the seat rubing one the wire, it was grounding out on the seat latch making the number one fuel injector blowing extra fuel in the cyclinder easy fix some black tape runs like a champ thanks you all for the help )))00$$$$$$ spent just time good luck thanks demonchild thanks respect for your time.......jesse
