Default problem with my 929

hello everyone, I just purchased my second 929, and I m having a slight problem, on my last bike, when I turned the ignition ON I use to hear a slight WIIIzzz, I guess coming from the fuel pump, and the then the wizzing stoped, now with this one it just keeps going and refuses to stop!! anyone has any input on this? can it hurt my bike?

thanx

Is there any malfunction lights accompanying the sound? Any loss of power or other running problems?

No lights, and no problem on the road, the only thing I have noticed, is that is I leave it on without starting the bikes, I ll have a hard time starting like if it was flooded...

It is the fuel pump. If you ever noticed on your old 929 the red service light would go off when that sound stopped. That is your Q to start the bike. If the sound doesn't stop it just keeps pumping more gas. It just floods the injectors. Just let the sound go for about 2 seconds then start the bike. No real need to replace the pump unless this just annoys you.
