Ok my 01 929 keeps dying on me. As im goin down the road it will start to buck and jerk and then come back to life. All the gauges go dead but all my lights are still on. It also has no consistency on when the problems occur sometimes it happens when im cruising sometimes it happens under wide open throttle. So I thought it was fuel so i drained the fuel and put gas in it, that didnt help. Im starting to thinks maybe its electrical. A guy told me last night it could be my battery terminals. So i dont know any thoughts would be appreciated.

When my battery started crappen out thats exactly what happened. I went to the shop had them but a battery in it just to check and it ran perfect.

 

+1 on the battery terminals or the battery itself....if the terminals looks corroded putting some vinegar helps eat away at it. But often the corrosion is a sign of a leaking beat battery

 

10 to 1 it's just the battery, but have the shop run a diagnostic on the voltage regulator just in case, I'd hate to see you stranded with a new dead battery.
