Default Gauge problems

Well I guess everytime I solve one problem another pops up. So my gauges on my bike will light up and display but the mph and odometer wont work they don't change at all for some reason they just show 0mph and the bikes mileage. The rpm guage works and so does the temp guage so I can't figure out what is wrong at this point. Checked the fuses and there all good any ideas guys?

Sounds like an electrical malfunction.
Check your wiring connectors on the loom, up front.......

I pulled the main plug out of the back of it and reconnected it and nothing. I can't think of what would make it act like it is because all of the other parts of the gauge are working besides the mileage and speed. Could the senor being bad cause it to do this?

You could try to look it up in the manual where the sensor is, and check the wires that lead to it. I haven't heard of this problem before on here, but it could be possible your sensor is bad.

I am pretty sure it is your sensor or your sensor wires and connection

page 19-10 in the manual. if you don't have the manual, go to the last post in the "Service Manuals" sticky at the top of the 929 forum, or follow the link in my signature
