i think i know the noise you're talking about. i posted here about it a while back and it was hard to explain it because it's not something that's easily compared to anything else i could think of. but needless to say, i adjusted the chain (it had too much slack) and the noise went away completely. it only happened while decelerating though. does yours make the noise constantly? if so, check your chain's freeplay. if it's loose then tighten it up to within Honda's recommended specs. if it still does it, you might have to replace the chain.

yea the noise is there the whole time the bike is moving. my chain is to the point where when i tighten it one spot is tight then i move my bike forward then the chain is loose. ive got a 520 kit on it would that make any difference?

sounds like it's time for a new chain. hopefully that will get rid of the noise, and you certainly don't want to ignore it because any abnormal noise is a sign that bad things will likely follow (in most cases).

Assuming your chain is clean andwell lubed and you're getting those tight/loose sections in the chain it's definetely time to replace it. May or may not be the noise you're experiencing but I'd start there.

what does your chain look like? does it look like it needs replaceing? take the cover off and check the tightness of of your front sprocket i have seen the come loose before if your chain doesnt need replaceing why spend the $125 on a new one and still have the problem, and how many miles are on the chain?
