Need advise on splitting an OEM Cam Chain or where to get a Cam Chain w Master Link
Hi,
I've just ordered a new cam chain / tensioner etc for my 95 CBR1000F. I need to do the head gasket so will replace the chain during the process.
My question is: I'm too lazy to open the case in order to replace the cam chain with the OEM one I've ordered.
1. Is it possible to break the continuous chain I've purchased and if it is, where can I get a master link for it.
2. Can anyone recomend a place that I can purchase a chain with master link?
Thanks in advance

Found a master link and will give it a go
Thanks for the responses.
I'd seen the after market chain sites previously and will use them if all else fails.
Found a supplier on ebay : http://stores.ebay.com/TAS-Classic-MotorSports
I sent them a message asking if their links will work with OEM chains. They assured me that they would so I'm going to give it a go. Worse case scenario is that it won't fit and I'll have to order another chain with master link.
I've also purchased a set of fork & dust seals off them. Very reasonably priced.

Maybe those links should be listed in the how to section. I would hate to lose them. I'm about ready for a CCT myself (again) and was thinking about doing the chain as well. That link would surly be an asset.
