so my 929hit 32000 today and im thinkin its guna need a motor soon startin to tick a little more my question is can i swap the 954 motor with using my 929 main harness and using the 954 ecu tb's etc...?

 

32,000 is low miles...run it til it stops running, igot abuddy with 129K on one.

 

damn! yea it doesnt burn any oil or anything so i guess i could go longer but i noticed the gearbox is startin to fall out of gear in the higher r's n i occasionally get false neutrals gearbox= big money in my book

 

your shifting dogs are warn or bent. have it fixed before you eat a gear...it will be way cheaper then a new motor.

i sold a old 97 fzr600 with 40,000 miles...didnt burn any oil just service and take care of the bike.

 

yea thats what i figured a good winter project im a mechanic so im sure ill be able to handle it but were is the best place or website that you guys know of that sells gearbox parts cheaper than honda they wanted like 1300 for new dogs forks, etc...
