ok, thanks for the advice ill keep you updated on exactly what route i take and parts i replace. the service manual in the other how-to video where the guy measured the springs and clutches. where can i get that at. that shows all of the tolerences.

 

would the Right or Left shift fork be for 1-2 gear. i will get a new fork, star, spring, and drum assembly. and roll with that.

Not sure which fork is for which gears but they have a letter stamped on them for r=right, c=center or l=left. Check with Ronayers.com Ron Ayers Motorsports for any new parts. They have the cheapest prices and could tell you which shift fork you would need.

ok, opinion time. on Ronayers webiste i can get. all new parts.

-1st 2nd gear shift fork-$41.50
-star shift & new bolt $25.00
-spring and roller wheel $20.00
-hub basket bolt and washer $7.22
-outer basket springs $2.70x5

And or get a couple of those parts i might need and want (fork??, nut, springs) and get the Pro Star shift kit. $177.00

I'm trying to weight all equations out and figure the best solution without leaving my bike tore down for days waiting on parts.
