No nuetral light and other issues
Any help is greatly appreciated. I was fortunate enough to get the F4I out and ride last weekend. Weather has been WAY cold. I had been trying to repair a hack job on the wiring since I got the bike. While riding my turn signals and brake light went out. right turns work fine, issue was on a left turn so I know the short is on the left side to trace the wiring and find the short.
Here is where the true questions start. I brought the bike home and put it on a rear paddle stand. I went out to start it and work on it tonight and the bike would not start. I checked all fuses and all are good (I replaced the turn/brake fuse). If I put the kick stand up the bike will start. There is NO neutral light when the bike is in neutral. If I drop the kick stand the bike turns off even in neutral. The bike will not start with the kickstand down even with clutch engaged.
Anyone have a clue what is going on here? I don't see anything I could have knocked loose, and before putting it up after the last ride all of this worked perfectly.
I thought the neutral light may have just burned out, but when the key is first turned on the light turns on just fine. Did a relay come loose? a plug?
HELP PLEASE!
Thanks in advance,
Gary

Sadly, to really fix the problem there is no easy way to determine an electrical problem but to try and test things wire by wire according to the diagram.
You can try replacing the neutral switch or disconnect the sidestand switch and allow the bike to be started when sidestand is deployed.
