Default 929 all of sudden starting bogging down

Has anyone experienced this. Was heading to work this morning riding pretty hard in the 90's mph range and after I got off the freeway was trying to pass on a two lane road, was still in 3rd and when I throttled up the bike started choking. This continued on for the last 6 miles of my ride, since there are quite a few traffic lights. I was thinking dirty fuel - but revved the bike up to 10K RPMS in the parking lot and it didn't sputter/choke - was in neutral for roughly 15 secs. The bike is about to roll over 30K miles - wondering if this might be an ignition problem. Is there a recommended maintenance for swapping out the ignition coils? Battery is about a year old - when I'm not riding its on a battery tender. Plugs needs to be changed but still have some miles left on them plus they are Iridium.

Do the FPR test

these bikes like to eat FPR's for breakfast, no idea why they don't last on this bike. There is a new part # for the replacement that might be improved over the old part # it replaces.

Will try that this evening to see if that is the problem. As the problem has gotten even worse. When I start the bike, kick stand up, and as soon as you put it in gear the bike dies. Hopefully the FPR is the easy fix on this..Thanks for the heads up. May have to ride around with a spare one in the trunk.. lol

check kick stand sensor.
also, check spark plugs. the choking can be easily the sparkplugs..

btw, before even getting into talking out the spark plugs to inspect them, make sure it isnt just a loose spark plug cable! that happened to me once.

You nailed it - it was a bad kick stand sensor switch
