Hi i am new to the forum, i was wondering if my 929 puts out 12 volts. And if so which wire will put the volts out only when the bike is running? I am trying to hook up a radar detector and it needs to be ran with 12 volts. Any help would be thankful.

 

Ya, you're putting out 12 volts. You have 2 options:

1) run directly to the battery. easy to do.
2) run power from a fused source. a radar detector isn't going to draw a lot of power so you'd probably be safe running it from the lights. Just make sure you have a fuse going to the radar detector that's smaller than the one for the lights. That way if something shorts you still have lights.
