Default Weird noise

What's going on everyone. I have a 99 blade and have something weird happening about once every other day or so. I'll come up to a light or to a stop and I'll hear like what sounds to me like a pressure release type sound....you know, how a semi truck releases line pressure? It's coming from under the tank but I haven't been able to pinpoint it or figure out what it is or what's causing it. Hopefully someone can help me out, cause it's driving me nuts....thanks everyone for your time.

any chance one of your carb slides is sticking and causing a slight backfire into the air box? Sounds crazy but I've seen it. YOu might be able to tell if you see any singing of the filter element or air box. Thats a long shot though. is this an actual hiss of air? If you had a vac leak it would be all the time not intermitten. Could also be a clogged vent tube? I would love to hear this sound. Try adescribe it a bit more because I can't imagine a bike making an air brakes pressure blow off sound. Good luck

Unless I'm mistaken nothing under there should have stored pressure like that. Here's a long shot but could it be coming from your rear shock? you might have a leak in the hose to the reservoir. It's not exactly under the tank but in that general area and could explain why you hear it on stopping as the rear shock settles.

My guess would be the radiator overflow hose or possibly fuel overflowdripping just once onto the hot exhaust and what you're hearing is theliquid sizzling. Check under your bike and see if any of your drain hoses are aiming at, or near your exhaust.
