Default Weight question

In my haynes manual is says the weight for my bike is 96-97 dry 403 and wet 451,but the tag on my bike says GVWR 805. And GAWR Front 328, GAWR Rear 506, basically 805 total. So what does my bike weigh and why is it different in the book from the tag on the bike?

Default RE: Weight question

I have a 96. Dry weight 49 state models = 403 lbs. Dry weight California models = 410 lbs. Straight from Honda manual.

You didn't think your bike weighs 800 lbs did you?

The GVWR is gross vehicle weight rating and GAWR is gross axle weight. This is the weight loads your bike can handle, not what the bike weighs. The 403 is without fluids and 451 is oiled, coolant and fuled up
