Sorry for all these probably daft noob questions
but here goes another one

the speedo only displays very intermittently ☹️
previous owner gave me a new (second hand/looked the same as the not working one)cable which I have fitted but still the same problem
is there anything else I should check
would a New cable solve the issue


does anywhere produce new cables

as to whether it will sove the problem - who knows? Difficut to test those cables. Make sure anything which moves is moving properly I guess?
