but oh well the point is dang this thing is fast! but when cruising at 35-55 what rpms should this bike run at? im used to harley type bikes w/low redline and am not used to a bike runing constantly at 5 grand so any info would help
no set range for it .. more to do with what you're comfortable with (obviously engine sound will let you know if you're way out of range though) .. for example when I'm scootin through the hood at 30 I keep revs way down to lessen the sound but in traffic at approx. same speed I run it much higher to have ready power available .. so basically no one size fits all answer.

btw, thanks for the word of the day lesson. I just looked up titmouse cuz the name intrigued me although i was a bit dissapointed at the answer

Here's one sure way to slow you down. CRASH. I did. It worked! This does not mean I recommend crashing or suggest that anyone does it. But, I'm sure that after people crash it puts additional perspective in their minds to understand that the elements which surround you, should determine your riding characteristics for a reason. Don't take me as a hater or anything. I do the occasional rip, maybe a wheelie, etc... but it's my surroundings that determine yes/no. One other poster said take it to the track. I did that too, then I came home and felt invinsible with my new found skills. Boy did I learn the hard way.

Now, what would be really cool would be to have roads completely designated for motorcycles, whereby the yellow caution signs were higher and stuff. Kinda like that kawasaki commerical where the guy has a huge twisty driveway and the checkerboard garage door. Ahhh, life is but a dream.
