No where in the USA that I know of offers no deductable. Now you might get it back when they recover but you always pay up front here first.
As for the effect on insurance cost, that will depend on what your rating is now and what your paying already.
I've got full coverage on all my newer bikes and with my rating and history each bike costs me less than $20 a month. But I do have $1000 deductables.

Like I said , you may get it back when they settle but you have to pay it up front here first.
Either way "IMO" , the less my company knows, the better for me.
It's all good tho , what ever works for you.
Most of the guys I ride with are paying $100 a month and up for insurance, I'm very happy where I am.

I pay 500 pounds (782.15 dollars) for third party here in London XD

Wow. This thread is way off topic. In response to your comment Flatblack...how can bar ends be useless & ugly. It will look ugly when bike is drop & bar ends is damage but it's meant to protect further damage to your clip ons & right throttle sleeve....without bar ends wouldn't your grips have the possibility to slide off. I understand on the race track, they may only use a replacement plastic piece but fact is, race pavement is smooth....streets have cracks, potholes, un-even surfaces...much more vibration. Bar ends acts as counterweight to lesson the vibration, lesson the wiggly feel...it is just that obvious when using a (China made) aluminum one Vs... a original factory heavier ones...there is a reason why Honda did not shed weight there? When the produce the 900rr 6lbs lighter than the 600...Hebbo just had his 900rr hit by a Jeep backing up. If no bar ends...wouldn't his clip on & throttle sleeves be significantly damaged...It's life & death every time anyone hop on a motorcycle and go riding...better to have a piece of mind knowing your ride us complete...but topic of this thread is still...is it ok to remove handlebar weights...let's see other members suggestions...but understand that you (having 20 years riding experience) is not same as many new riders here reading these... I myself been riding for 20+ years...things we do, old dog old tricks...does not mean it's workable for new riders. Let leave it here...
suggestion just that, it is your job as a responsible adult to do your own research with found information and trial. there are FAR GREATER saftey issues with a motorcycle then bar weights! proper tire, tire fitment, tire pressure, chain ( proper chain) sprockets, brakes and the key suspension. life and death estate... really , never heard of any one crashing or perishing from bar end weights!!! imo they"re ugly and useless just a suggestion, the bike will work properly with or without them... enuff said
