Handlebar weights
#41
Hey guys,
just fitted new original weights on the bike.
The thing is that there is a small gap between the weight and the end of the handle bar:
Do I have to move the inner weight I bit more inside the pipe?
Any other suggestion?
Apart of this, I did not notice much the presence of the new weights in terms of handling the bike but yes, they vibs seems to have reduced.
Cheers

Those grips might not be the same length as factory. Honda grips are exactly 122mm long. Measure yours and compare.
Or maybe you didnt align the bar end cutouts with the inner weight cutouts? There is a half-circle of metal on the end of both the inner and outer weights, and they need to be aligned to prevent them from "spinning".

I will check the soze of the grips, although the grip and the pipe seems to have the same lenght.

I see the end screw is not fitting properly? Please make sure the screws are indeed OEM sizing and should fit flushed..

What works for one rider, may not work for others. But giving an advice to remove a part that was meant to work properly with certain motorcycle, is definitely an advice rather NOT said...YOU are putting risk to other riders & CBRF will not tolerate such suggestion. What works for you is within your motorcycle/riding conditon/experience/ 100% self
preference, but that does not
mean you can suggestion riders
to remove a part that was
meant for certain motorcycle to work properly. You can remove any part of your motorcycle...but don't suggest other members to do so... It's life & death...hope for your consideration before posting...Tks.

I think this is just a matter of common sense. I just wanted to know FLATBLACK740's point of view.
Just because someone suggests to remove the rear wheel does not mean that I will blindly follow the advice.
I do really think weights have a strong purpose on a bike. I tried myself yesterday during a longer ride out, and it made some difference.
