frame swap from 97 to 95
I need to swap my frame thanks to a retired old [sm=smiley35.gif] in florida. Sure don't look where your going, just pull out in front of me [sm=wakeup.gif] . Anyways I found a frame with a good title but its a 95 and mine is a 97. Has anyone had any prolems doing this or know if I can swap them.
all frames from 1993-1999 are the same. They all fit eachother the difference is electrical and engine. That is it.. If you need any more help email me. I've changed the frame on my bike about 7 times already.... It's alot of work but can be done in one day if you start early...
Thanks ok I will buy it then. I think I'll have a local bike shop do it cause he ows me a favor anyways, buyt we'll see. I really don't have time but If he doesent have timw either I will probanle do it my self.
BY THE WAY THE BIKE THAT I'M ON IS A 95 WITH A 99 FRAME... I BOUGHT IT OFF SOME GUY IN CHICAGO.. I JUST PUT EVERYTHING FORM MY 95 BACK ON TO THIS FRAME. THIS IS WHY EVERYONE THINKS IT'S A 95 BUT IT IS NOW A 99...
IT IS NOT HARD I CHANGED THE FRAME A WAS RIDING IN ONE DAY.. JUST MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ALL THE RIGHT TOOLS BEFORE YOU BEGIN....

Thanks man I am almost finished polishing it and will be putting it together this weekend. Any hints on making it faster, like I think for the tail I am going to leave as much as possible connected to it to make that part go faster. what else to you recommend?
I don't know where you ride but in Florida the PIGS never give me crap about not having the, I don't know what you call it, ID plate thing on the frame, so I polished it off.[sm=bling.gif]

Well in New York they mess with anything here. Just to F***up your day.. I found it much easier if you attach the frame to the motor first then the rear once everything is tight then the shock and then the front. then the seat area.. and whala yoour all most there...
