did a little digging and on stuntlife, those guyes say the frames are direct swaps for the motors for all of the 900rrs. apparently it's a popular mod to throw the newer bigger engines in the older frames.

now that was for motors, so i'm not sure the fairings and anything else would swap over - but there were a ton of guys on there agreeing that the engine swaps no problem, and some of them said the frames did not change at all for the 900rr. i don't know how much of that's true

its a pretty easy swap upper fairing support bracket and bolts hole on neck where gas tank bolts up are different. my 95 has a 99 tank on it, had to make a custom bracket out of a piece of metal

Default frame

the main difference is the subframe, cant use a 93-97 subframe on a 98-99 and the other way either. other than that all is interchangeable. triple clamps on 98-99 are 1 inch wider as well. i have had all the different models

Is the frame damaged physically beyond repair (bent or something) or is it just cosmetic? If the latter why not just get the frame powder coated? I was going to do this to mine at some stage. I fancy satin/matt black.

the frames are the same except for the sub frame 93-97 sub frame and 98-99 subframe are different. have different lengths on the attaching arms. the rear fairing mounts are different. you will have to drill and tap new holes, easy to do. i did it for my 95 frame with 98 front fairings. everything else is a direct swap
