engine noise?
anybody...
i got this 99 900rr about a month ago and already put 2000 miles on it. that puts the mileage a little over 17,000. sometimes when i start the bike and it's still cold, there is this slight tick noise sounding like it's coming from the head. once warmed up, i don't hear it. could this be in need of a valve clearance adjustment? my old zx6r had over 30,000 miles and made all kinds of engine noise and it was considered normal for kawasakis. do hondas have normal engine noise? any imput is well appreciated.

JUst a suggestion: Pull in the cluctch while the biuke is warming. Does the noise stop? It's possible the clutch could be making a slight rattle. Other than that every bike I've ever messed with has had some form of valve train noise until it warmed up. Some even after that.
