tire width
I had a 190 on my 900RR and I loved the look and how well it hooked up. However when it came time for new tires, I took the 190 off and put the 180 back on. With the 180 tire the bike just seems to handle and turn in so much easier.
I have heard that there is no reason to get a wider tire for the bike other than what is specified because the manufacturer weighs out the pros and cons of the tire size. I have read as well that it does affect the bikes feel in/out of corners and all of that stuff they said not to do it. There are a bunch of stuff about this on RRZone.com Just wondering.... I have a 96 900rr is my tire size 180 55 zr 17 as well can't recall what it size it was and I am not close to my bike to check. By the way I have the dunlop 208 series that kind of look like flame tips for the tread of the tire and they stick quite well and I have been able to find them pretty cheap on ebay about 120 a tire plus 15 to ship.
