Good observation scutfargas, I took off the carbon fiber canister in favor of the stainless canister, just after I bought the bike. Not really sure why...just a personal preference, I think. Which do you prefer? I still have the carbon fiber canister...not really sure what to do with it.

I like the stainless too. TBR has the best sounding pipes IMO. Very nice!

Here is a 3/4 shot showing the front of the bike. It has the original dual round headlights. I've seen the conversion done to other bikes and I think it looks great but I'm hesitant to deviate too far from stock. I figure that in 20 years it might be kind of neat to have a mostly stock, first year 900RR. I have some work to do (windshield, front fender, brake lines) so if you know where I can get some original (used) parts, please let me know.
Im not sure about the best way to apply the stripe but i'm sure someone has successfully done it on this forum. As for parts I think it was Bambam that suggested a place called beaverdam honda. I visited their site last night and they have all the parts you would need. The web add is www.beaverdamhondakawasaki.com check it out!

Oh yeah, dont change that front, it looks great!

+1 for the rim stripes. Ebay $8 shipped. Big difference in the way the bike looks after getting the stripes put on. Some bike shops have them for around $12 or so.
