i love the quater mile
You have1500 miles on that bike. Why don't you go ride fora hundred or so miles one day. I **** on a quarter mile. Don't tell me running a quarter mile is more fun than spending an entire day riding.

i only put 1500 miles on my cbr600rr and i am thinking about trading it in for a 1000rr or r1.
do whatever you want.... i learned to ride on a 954 before i got my f4i and it all depends on how you manage the bike and the throttle. if you feel youre ready then do it, but if you are doing it for other reasons like look wise or personal image wise then just drop that thought of getting the 1k.

eventhough, i can handle a 1k ; i feel much more comfortable on a 600 and i dont think ill make the swap to the 1 liters any time soon. main reason is, im a bit of uncertain about the turns combined with acceleration on the 1k. much more tricky on the big bikes than on our punkass 600.

Wow!!! I have considered a CBR 1000RR myself, but I do enjoy my 600RR alot. I think alot of people get the 1000RR do to the MACHO image to have a 1K bike. But whatever makes ya happy, All I tell people is to be safe & respect the bike & the road!!!

You know, this thread reminds me of the Simpsons episode where Bart keeps getting zapped over and over again, "bzzzzzt...Ow!,bzzzzt..Ow!,bzzzzt..Ow!" If you guys are going to continue to get suckered into threads like this at least make him work for it a little. Dude ambles on site, makes some lazy-*** one line post, and people are chomping at the bit to bite the hook. This guy should at least have enough respect to go into some long story how he rode dirtbikes, will be sure to be careful, and thinks he is ready since he rode his brother's turbo'd ZX-10r down the street.

Well personally, I just sold my 06 1000RR and going to a 07 600rr. Unless you are Nicky Hayden, I doubt you are using even 50% of the ability of the 600rr.

I've had all kinds of bikes of different sizes and to this day the most fun bike I have to ride is my "little" 400cc supermoto bike. Nothing beats it in the tight twisties.

Also, if you are looking into 1/4 mile racing the 1000rr is not the right bike for that.

Is ita DRZ motarded out? I've ridden a DR on some trails, I could only imagine what it's like hooked up for the street. I must agree that motards are alot of fun. Good torque, very nimble and easy toget in to trouble with. High hooligan factor. One of my boys has a XR650L with 16s, pilot sports, jetted, and exhaust. That thing is dope once you get familar with it.
