Default Thinking about a 1000rr

Hey guy's I've been posting over in the 929 section for about a year now, recently sold the 929 and i'm looking to upgrade. Have a few quick questions that might help me finally decide, I'm looking at the 04-06 1000RR i was looking at specs and what not just wondering if there were any major differences between the years, and if there's a particular year i should go for. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Go with the 06! You get HESD, better seat, Higher compresion, more horses, and better looking farings in my opinion. Oh, they shaved of like 12-16 lbs also.... But if their is an 04-05 for cheap... BUY IT! Weeeee, I love my 06 1krr! Soooooo happy and fun!

well personally id look for a 06, it does have better power than the 04-05 and in my opinion also looks much better. it is also lighter and has a upgraded shock and shorter wheelbase. my good friend has a 2001 929 erion racing and after riding my bike i think his is very bad at steering.

The 06-07 will have more power and it will handle a little better than the 04-05 model. I went from a 97 900rr to an 06 rr and I couldn't beleive the differance. My 900 felt like a Harley in comparrison.

06 and 07 are basically the same. Buy an 06 if you can find one, it should save you about $600-$1,000

Right on thanks for all the input, I've been out looking at them, only place that has an 06 is the stealership and they want 10k for it with 800 miles...

There were over 200 changes made from the 04-05 model going to the 06-07 model. Lighter, revised bodywork, head changes, higher compression, different length swingarm, different rear shock, bigger brakes etc...
I have an 07 and I really like it a lot (same as 06). I've never ridden an 04-05, but I'm sure the changes (other than bodywork) wouldn't be noticable. I guess it depends on which one you like better, really.
