No flaws but only positives with that machine. If you haven't ridden one ur gonna notice the difference in powerband, handling and most importantly "stability". The 954 doesnt come with a damper so the benefits of the '07 1K is the electronic steering damper (HESD). I had a 929RR with of course NO damper and upon hopping on the newer 1k said "no my goodness what a difference". I think ur gonna be most happy...good luck.

I would probably keep the 954rr. I upgraded from an 00 929 to an 06 1kr. I love the performance of the 1kr and the fact it looks like it came right off the race track but the 929 was so much more comfortable and the trunk was huge. the 1kr has a really aggressive ride position. I think you'll find the 954 to be more comfortable, has a bigger trunk, more torque down low but when the 1000 brings the noise it brings it hard. very fast and sporty. If you dont mind losing the trunk space and are shorter the the 1kr ride position isnt that big of deal and get the bike you like the looks of. 954's are sexy. If I had the coin I pick one up with my 1kr

I love my 08 1kRR, I am 6'1" and its comfortable. You have to ride a while if you arent that flexible to get used to it. I think I had 300 miles in before my legs stopped getting cramps but it is well worth it.

This bike feels more like an extension of myself than any bike I have ever ridden. It truly is a point and shoot bike... I know that is way over used with this bike but there really is no other way to describe it. I can come into a corner at 70 and smoothly come out of it over 100. The bike feels just as stable at 120 as is does at 60.

If you get a chance take a look at nafstap, or my album if you want to get some ideas.

I have absolutely no complaints with my 07 1krr, power is everywhere and you can be in 6th gear and it still hauls *** to a higher speed even when your down low in the rpms. the thing i notice about the liter bikes over the 600's is the fact that i dont run out of a gear as quick as i do on a 600, I only typically use 4 gears for normal every day driving, 5th and 6th are "good gas mileage or high speed" gears.

I love everything about this bike, looks, performance, handling.

I will never use its full potential but its nice knowing its there.

Lol and it feels like your doing 60mph when your actually doing 120, its sick. rediculously stable bike. these bikes get more and more stable the faster you go.. its how rockets are.
