Default Thinking of getting 2008 CBR 1000rr

2008 cbr 1000rr
5000 miles
clean title
mint
Cherry Red
All Stock

The guy is selling it to me for $7000 (advertised it for $8000)
What do you think?

As a side note: I test rode a 2001 Hayabusa, that thing was a slug. A 954 would give it a good run or maybe smoke it

Another side note: I have been bikeless for a month and as every warm and dry day goes by.............you know how the feeling is. Sold my zx10r last month

Pictures?

Seems a little high for a 3 year old bike, but not extremely so.

KBB shows $7,790. For "All Stock & Mint", I can see why he asked 8K. 7k selling price seems fair for both of you.

Hope your transaction goes well. Look forward to seeing pics.

I paid much less than that for an 07 ZX10 with 9k and modded out. Talk them down more. I would've loved to get a 1000RR, but got such a good deal on this one I took it.

zx10r resale value sucks. It's advertised as mint, only factory picture, not a real one

For a little while in the fall of '09 you could buy a brand new 2008 1000RR from the dealer for less than $7k, with Honda's Bonus Bucks factory rebate. It all depends on what someone is willing to pay for a used one now.

I think you'd have a hard time finding a used one in mint condition now for much less than $7k. The price sounds fairly reasonable.

Don't they retail for $13k? How is that possible??? Not saying it isn't true, but jesus that has to be way under dealer cost.

Agreed, I haven't seen any around here going cheaper with that kind of mileage. If it is truely in mint condition, I'd think it's a good price.
