Default Stator question & battery

Ok so I recently bought a new shoni (I think that how you say it) battery and a new stator. After I installed both and changed the oil and filter everything was fine. when I was backing up all of a sudden it just dies, It won't power up or turn over but the battery was showing good volts. Today I looked at the battery and it read 0.03 so I am not sure why this happend

Go back through and recheck all your wiring. Maybe you crossed a wire and grounded something out which would drain the battery...

What would be grounded if I used soder and heat shrink to reconnect the new stator to the old plug to reuse? I think it might be the recifer or something else but I am still searching.

honda is the best but that is there biggest down fall i had a 98 cbr f3 do the same thing. I replaced the stator the battery and the regulator then in a month they all died again. had to replace it all again and the wiring harness. Ran good then sold it a month later never heard back from the guy so I assume it worked fine. I hope this helps. Electircal is never fun.

As in those wires may be shorted out somewhere and be draining the battery. Just sayin, doesn't hurt to go back through the wiring again
