Default Scheduled Services

Just wondering if anyone goes by the owner's manual, ie, 4000 mile 2nd oil change, etc..... or does everyone do the stuff much sooner? Why?

Disco, I'm not going to wait that long. I've always lived by the 1/2 rule. Bout 1/2 of what they recommend. I don't want my oil in my Toyota truck in more than 3500 miles, why would I allow it in my much more high tech - higger revving RR!?!?!

Oil & filters are cheap compared with engines, etc. Besides come resale time, having a well-documented highly maintained bike will pay back big dividends not only in resale, but in quickness to sell.

When someone buys a vehicle from me, they get a huge folder full of records, receipts, full documentation, brochures, manual, etc., etc. It's never failed...the folks are IMPRESSED with how I've kept the vehicle. Same will be true of my RR -- IF I ever get stupid enough to sell it!!
